CNN —Max Verstappen is racing “on another planet,” according to Red Bull team manager Christian Horner, after the three-time world champion dominated a crash-filled Chinese Grand Prix to record yet another victory. “His form is absolutely fantastic,” Horner told broadcaster Sky Sports. His dominance is such that he finishes every Grand Prix with a comfortable buffer; on Sunday, he crossed the finish line almost 14 seconds ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris in second who recorded his 15th career podium. Mark Thompson/Getty ImagesVerstappen had led for almost the entire race, staying clear of the chaos behind him which included a Virtual Safety Car that turned into a full Safety Car prompted by Kick Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas’ engine failure and problems removing his car from the track. Just before the restart, Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll drove into the back of RB’s Daniel Ricciardo prompting another Safety Car and shaking up the race even further.

CNN —Carlos Sainz claimed an impressive victory at the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday, breaking Max Verstappen’s dominant grip over this F1 season as the Red Bull driver was forced to retire from the race. The Spaniard began the race second on the grid, behind pole-sitter Verstappen, and stuck close to the three-time world champion before easily overtaking him on the second lap to take the lead. For just the first time in two years, he retired from a Grand Prix, citing brake failure. Of course you always want to finish the races but it’s a mechanical sport,” Verstappen said following his first retirement since the 2022 Australian Grand Prix. On Friday, Red Bull suspended the female employee who accused F1 team principal Christian Horner of inappropriate behavior, according to multiple reports. Red Bull launched an independent investigation in February after Horner was accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior towards a member of the racing team, who has not been identified. CNN has been unable to corroborate their authenticity and Red Bull said it would be “inappropriate” to comment on the matter. Christian Horner and Red Bull have faced controversy to start the season.

CNN —Max Verstappen coasted to victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix on Saturday, laying down an ominous marker for the rest of the field in the opening race of this F1 season. Clive Mason/Getty ImagesWhile that overshadowed Red Bull’s race weekend, it did not seem to affect the team’s performance on the track as Sergio Perez completed yet another 1-2 – a repeat result of last season’s opening race. “Unbelievable, I think today went even better than expected,” Verstappen told Sky Sports after the race. CNN —And so the curtain falls on a Formula One season dominated by Max Verstappen and his Red Bull team, with the Dutchman securing a record-extending 19th victory of the year at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Never before has the sport seen a driver win with such regularity and ease, the three-time world champion again comfortably crossing the finishing line first at the season-ending race at the Yas Marina Circuit. Verstappen led from start to finish to secure his fourth win on the trot in Abu Dhabi. “It was an incredible season,” Verstappen told reporters. At one point, it seemed probable rather than possible that the team would win every race of the season, an outcome that faded away when Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz won the Singapore Grand Prix.

“Viva Las Vegas! Viva Las Vegas!” sang the three-time reigning world champion as he crossed the checkered flag waved by Justin Bieber. Verstappen had slammed the race at every chance, yet raced in an Elvis-inspired fire-suit and took the victory on the famed Las Vegas Strip. A class-action lawsuit was filed Friday against the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Verstappen, Leclerc and Perez were then driven in a limousine to the victory podium.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Ferrari rebounded from a disastrous first day of the Las Vegas Grand Prix with a Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. sweep of Friday night qualifying. After the qualifying run, Sainz was struggling to balance the showmanship of F1's first visit to Las Vegas in 41 years and the damage to the sporting element of the biggest spectacle on the series' 22-race calendar. F1 and owner Liberty Media have spent $500 million on the race that uses the Strip and incorporates several Las Vegas landmarks. “But I see the race as a very good opportunity for F1 and I think F1, it's a good thing that's in Las Vegas and I am enjoying coming to Las Vegas. He's been critical of the event since before he even arrived because he believes F1 has put too much emphasis on the entertainment value of the Las Vegas race.

CNN —As Las Vegas gears up to stage its first Formula One Grand Prix in more than 40 years, three-time world champion Max Verstappen appears unenthused by the prospect of racing in the glitzy host city. But Red Bull driver Verstappen, who wrapped up his most recent world title last month, isn’t particularly enamored by the theater atmosphere on display in Las Vegas. Not all the drivers, who were introduced to the crowd via ascending and descending platforms during the opening ceremony, necessarily shared Verstappen’s view. “Of course, there has been a lot of show already with the opening ceremony. It’s a beautiful sport, but you also need to attract new people to this beautiful sport.”Verstappen and fellow Red Bull driver Sergio Pérez greet spectators at the Las Vegas Grand Prix opening ceremony.

Sergio Perez was still in Texas when he called the Mexico City Grand Prix his most important race weekend of the season. And while Perez has been part Red Bull's crushing constructor's championship, Verstappen is so dominant that he would have Red Bull in first place all by himself. His photo adorns just about everything in Mexico City this week, from race promotional billboards, television commercials and ads for car insurance and breakfast oats. “I don't think Max is going to get the warmest reception in Mexico,” Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said this week. “I want Mexico to come out to support the whole Oracle Red Bull Racing Team, not just me,” he said.

CNN —The Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday provided yet another opportunity for Red Bull and Max Verstappen to stamp their authority on this Formula One season. Verstappen streaked away from the field in Suzuka to claim his 13th win of the season while Red Bull won the constructors’ championships for the second year in a row. Such has been Red Bull’s dominance this year – the team has won every race except one – that it sealed the constructors’ title with six races still remaining. CNN —It has been a while since Red Bull failed to win a Formula One race so the Singapore Grand Prix gave fans some unexpected variety when Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz secured victory in Sunday’s night race. Such has been Red Bull’s dominance, the last time one of their drivers failed to win a race was in November 2022, when Mercedes’ George Russell won the Brazilian Grand Prix. Red Bull’s qualifying struggles opened the door for others on Sunday and it was Sainz who capitalized, claiming victory from pole position to end Red Bull’s hopes of winning every race this year. McLaren’s Lando Norris was second, while Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton was third, finishing over a second behind the Spaniard who celebrated his second win for Ferrari. “We nailed the race,” Sainz told reporters.

CNN —Max Verstappen is now within one race from another Formula One record after winning his eighth race in a row at the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday. The dominant victory was his 10th of the season and his eighth in a row. The record for the most consecutive race wins is held by Sebastian Vettel with nine. Dan Mullan/Getty ImagesAt one point during the race, Verstappen felt so comfortable that he even suggested he do a pit stop practice. “I could also push on and do another stop – a bit of pit stop practice,” Verstappen could be heard saying to his team on their radio.

CNN —Max Verstappen helped Red Bull make history on Sunday as the Dutchman won the Hungarian Grand Prix with ease to secure his team a record 12th successive win. Red Bull have won every race this season (11) and, unsurprisingly, lead the constructors’ championship by a handsome margin – 208 points ahead of Mercedes in second. Including the win achieved on the final race of last season, the team surpasses McLaren’s long-standing record of 11 straight wins, set in 1988. Verstappen celebrates a seventh straight win. His father, Jos Verstappen, was a successful racing driver in his own right and became the first ever Dutchman to secure an F1 podium finish. But Max Verstappen is missing it: He got cleanly away at the start and is running far ahead of the two Ferraris chasing him. Max Verstappen wants you to know this is all harder than it looks. Verstappen, the two-time Formula 1 champion, has started on pole in six of the season’s nine races. Going faster than everyone else is what Max Verstappen does. “It almost looked like we were amateurs out there, the amount of laps that were being deleted.”

CNN —Red Bull’s Max Verstappen sauntered to his fifth consecutive win after dominating at the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday. “I don’t like to think about that yet,” Verstappen told reporters after the race when asked about winning another championship. Clive Rose/Getty ImagesOnce again, Verstappen started on pole and cruised to his seventh win out of this season’s nine races. It rounded off a near perfect weekend for the 25-year-old who also won Saturday’s sprint race. The sprint weekend is always very hectic and a lot of things can go wrong and luckily a lot of things went right for us this weekend,” Verstappen added.

CNN —Max Verstappen put in another dominant performance to win the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday, bringing him level with Formula One legend Ayrton Senna’s victory total. The 25-year-old ties Senna’s career victory total, with the win also being Red Bull’s 100th team victory. Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso finished 9.5 seconds behind Verstappen in second place with Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton completing the top three. Later in the race, Verstappen avoided suffering a similar fate to that of Mercedes driver George Russell who, after colliding with the wall off of turn 8/9, was ultimately forced to retire. I didn’t have one lap where I could relax a little bit, so it was an amazing battle.”He added: “At the beginning I had a little bit more pace, and at the end I think Lewis had a little bit more pace.

CNN —Max Verstappen cruised to victory at the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, his fourth win in six races this season as he extended his lead at the top of the drivers’ standings. A relatively straightforward race was transformed in the closing stages as it began raining in Monaco, causing chaos all through the field as the drivers fought to keep their cars from sliding on the wet track. Verstappen avoided any potential mishaps, while second-placed Fernando Alonso lost time when he had to pit twice after attempting to avoid using intermediate tires. The conditions changed late in the race when it began raining. That extra pit stop gave Verstappen a comfortable buffer, even as he clipped the wall, as he held on for the win.
CNN —Max Verstappen produced a scintillating performance on the track to win his second consecutive Miami Grand Prix on Sunday as the 25-year-old shrugged off boos from some people in the crowd. The Red Bull driver fought his way back from ninth on the grid to win his third race of the season, extending his lead at the top of the drivers championship to 14 points. “I think if I will be driving in the back nobody will be even doing anything in terms of reaction,” Verstappen told reporters after the race. So a well-deserved win for him,” Perez, who had started in pole position but finished second, told reporters. Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso, 41, finished in a distant third to achieve his fourth podium finish of the season but Red Bull was once again too good.
Behind them, Perez’s teammate Max Verstappen came to blows with Mercedes’ George Russell in the first three corners of the race as Russell overtook Verstappen before the Red Bull’s pace told later on and the Dutchman reclaimed his podium spot. “No, it’s not clarified,” Verstappen said afterwards, according to F1, when asked about his talk with Russell. Cameras captured Max Verstappen and George Russell's heated exchange. I’m not just going to wave him by because he’s Max Verstappen in a Red Bull. Once racing resumed on the sixth lap, Perez enabled his DRS and cruised past Leclerc in a further display of just how much extra pace the Red Bull carries.
CNN —Max Verstappen may be having a record-breaking season on the track but he’s far from happy with some of the media coverage he has been receiving lately. And at one point it is enough, I don’t accept it,” Verstappen told reporters after the race. After the previous race – the US Grand Prix – Sky Sports pundit Ted Kravitz said Lewis Hamilton was “robbed” of last year’s world title after Verstappen beat him in dramatic circumstances. Verstappen and Christian Horner, pictured here at the US Grand Prix, both refused to speak to Sky Sports in Mexico. Mark Thompson/Getty Images North America/Getty ImagesVerstappen was backed up by Red Bull Racing’s team principal Christian Horner who also refused to speak to Sky Sports in Mexico.
CNN —Max Verstappen fought back after pit-stop drama to win the US Grand Prix on Sunday, handing Red Bull the constructors’ championship on an emotional weekend for the team. The Dutchman’s victory came just one day after it was announced that owner and co-founder of Red Bull, Dietrich Mateschitz, had died aged 78. The stop lasted over 11 seconds with Red Bull mechanics scrambling for a replacement wheel gun after Verstappen’s front left tire was not tightened sufficiently. Verstappen poses with the Red Bull team to celebrate winning the constructors' championship. “A very emotional moment, a big moment for the team and for everyone at Red Bull,” he told reporters.

CNN —Tributes have been paid to Dietrich Mateschitz, the owner and co-founder of the sports drink company Red Bull, who has died aged 78. Ker Robertson/Getty ImagesIn 2004, Mateschitz bought the Ford-owned Jaguar team and the following season renamed it Red Bull Racing. The Austrian also bought the Italy-based Minardi F1 team and renamed it Toro Rosso in 2006, the Italian for Red Bull. After years of Mercedes dominance in recent years, Red Bull is back at the front of the grid with Max Verstappen sealing his second title at the Japanese Grand Prix earlier this month. “I want to send all my condolences to the Red Bull family, but also especially to his family that I also know.
